The term Black Hat SEO can be defined as a practice to improve the page ranking using unethical means and violating the terms of service of search engines. The black hat SEO technique is frowned upon in the web community as it might lead to banning even from the leading search engines like Google. 1. Stuffing Keywords

After creating a list of keywords, the people have a tendency to use those keywords frequently to poach clients. However, the readers may find it irritating and confusing leading them to abandon the website.

2. Hidden Link or Text

One of the common techniques of black hat SEO is to incorporate irrelevant keywords or hidden text to boost the page ranking. For example, people set font size to zero on a white background and hide it by attaching to a link. This technique shall hide the text when the visitors physically visit the website. 

3. Cloaking

This strategy enables the web developers to show one version of a website to Google Spiders while opening to another version for actual visitors. However, you are suggested to be conscious while applying the cloaking technique as the engine spiders have gotten advanced putting you under the risk of being banned.

4. Doorway Pages

Gateway or doorway pages can be defined as pages that are rich in keywords, but have poor content. These pages are designed to trick search engines as they have no factual information. These pages are filled with links to readdress the users to spam.
